Kottayam District team wins the PYKKA kerala state basketball championship held at kottayam nehru stadium. In the finals kottayam beat trissur team (39-10) and for the third position match kannur beat pathanamthitta (47-40). In girls section thrissur takes the title by beating Kozhikode (37-19) and for the third position match Trivandrum beat kannur (35-22)
